I first met Silje while taking an online OAHS workshop.

I loved her attention to detail - and it was obvious she cared a lot and knew what she was talking about.

I was so happy to hear she had some openings for new students - and quickly jumped at the chance to work with her.

From the beginning I felt well taken care of.

She started things off by asking me to send her some videos to evaluate where I was at … as well as a questionnaire to fill out to get to know my goals, history, problems better.

Within a week she had my 1st program ready to go - and we were off.

Each week I’d send her video and an overview about my week’s training to review my progress - that she’d evaluate and then make changes to my program where necessary.  I was always impressed with how quickly and thoroughly she responded.  She wanted to make sure I had everything I needed ASAP to be ready for my next week’s training. 

It’s so easy to feel lost, at times, and having her support was very reassuring. I always looked forward to the feedback - since she not only helped me understand the technique better, but helped answer my questions concerning my experience, how things felt, and was able to calm my frustrations with reason.  She was able to share from her own experience how this was all just part of the process. She goes above and beyond, taking time to make sure you get it - not only explaining things in detail about the technique and how it should feel - but also sends you videos and photos to make sure things are clear. I truly couldn’t have asked for more - and I’m so grateful for the progress I’ve made while working together.  If you need someone who will take time to listen to your struggles, and develop a plan of attack specifically designed to meet your needs, you couldn’t be in better hands.

  • Dainius - Zoom Sessions

    Working with Silje has been a complete game-changer for me. Before we started, I was stuck on the straddle press for a good six months with zero progress. Half-jokingly, I told her my big goal: I wanted to nail a Stalder press.

    Today, I've got both the straddle and Stalder presses down.

    Silje's fully customized training program made all the difference. In our live sessions, she has an incredible eye for spotting even the tiniest movement flaws - fixing them unlocks new skills and lets me progress steadily with my program.     I started working with Silje about 3 months ago after training handstands mostly on my own for about 4 years. I felt like I reached a plateau I wasn't able to overcome just by myself. My 2 biggest obstacles were endurance and good alignment. I already learned a lot about my practice just after Siljes very detailed assessment and after 3 months of her coaching I can see a ton of progress in all areas of my practice. Every check in I get a very detailed evaluation focused in my specific needs and training level plus according adjustments to the training plan. Every question or problem that comes up during the training gets discussed immediately and thoroughly. Honestly I didn't think that online coaching would be that effective, but Silje really knows what she is talking about. She makes me supported during my journey even when I feel like I'm not making any progress and pushes me to try new things I never thought accessible to me. highly recommend working with her to anyone who wants to up-level their handstand skills!

    Thank you for all your words and guidance you provide for me throughout my handstand journey you made my wish came true, in a safe but still very fun way I gotta admit, you are such a perfectionist, it is now sticking to me. When I hit a new drill and feel like I did a good job, I start rewatching it, see 1280 flaws that I have yet to correct and that you would want me to try and squeeze my hips and extend shoulders even more a this is how progress happens, because of you.

    There are way too many details for me to mention. I could go on for days! It is just your passion and carefully handpicked drills for each of your clients. You don't rush into things and the thing love about it is that you always focus on the basics and strong foundation. It is the core and no progress (long term for sure will happen without it.

    And, of course, your immense support even when feel like l am letting you down, not doing my best, failing, you find the words to support me, but not sugarcoat it. I respect you tremendously for this. You always say the right words to keep me motivated, to do better without undermining my work that has been done. Your words and guidance do wonders.     What | like about being coached by Silje Dahlby is firstly that I feel confident my training will lead me towards my goals. In addition, the weekly check-ins contribute to a positive pressure. We agree in advance on how many times I will train per week, which sometimes helps me work through the sessions where I might not initially have felt like practicing. Having her as a coach motivates me.

    She's so good at what she does, and therefore a good role model! I see her as a pro, but also a personal coach. She's great at noticing the small corrections, and defining the things that I need to work on in order to improve. She shows patience, because she knows this journey takes time. She always manages to find something positive with my training, even the weeks I fall short by my own standards. It makes the journey more motivating, and I'm getting better. The fact that she is so personal, creates a holistic view of the training.
